Able to connect with the main character and why? Yes, I was able to connect with him. Felt his loneliness and his frustration.

Anyone do something, didn't like and why? Hated that the mom killed all the children to punish the adults. Just so heinous to kill children.

Was location important to the story? The secret community was required but it could happen anywhere in the world.
