Review: I, Walter by Mike Hartner

I, WalterI, Walter by Mike Hartner
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What did you like about the main character? Walter's inner strength as he goes from boy to man is remarkable. He does it with as much grace as he can afford. He gets what he needs but some of what he wants remains unreachable which makes him human.

What did you like about the settings? They were adventurous. Everytime the setting changed, it meant Walter's life was about to see significant change. The author had researched the locations and places to make them seem realistic and nothing was out of place.

Cover - I liked most of it but I didn't get the shield and rose in the middle of the cover. It just didn't seem to fit. You had the title and this emblem of sorts in the background with a rose behind it. I think the cover would have looked fine with just the shadow image of the woman the ship on the left.

Disclosure - As a Quality Reads Book Club member, I received a free copy of this book from the author via Orangeberry Book Tours in exchange for my honest review.
